A new Swiss foundation, the Session Technology Foundation, has been created to act as a steward for the Session ecosystem. The Session Technology Foundation will contribute to the Session ecosystem through development, education, grant-making, and advocacy.

What does this mean for Session Token and the Session Network?

The Session Technology Foundation will be the issuer of Session Token. It will also support the sustainability of the Session community by maintaining the Session Token Community and Ecosystem Fund.

The Foundation will work to raise awareness about Session Token’s utility, such as Session Pro and the Session Name Service, and facilitate the onboarding of new operators and contributors to the Session Network. The STF may also run up to 10% of the Session Network’s nodes to ensure overall stability.
